The First Descendant

Welcome to The First Descendant, a free-to-play looter shooter where Nexon proves that if you combine Unreal Engine 5’s eye-watering fidelity with "legally distinct" grappling hooks and sci-fi aesthetic, people will happily spend 40 hours farming for a single pair of tactical pants. You step into the boots of a Descendant, a superpowered warrior tasked with saving the Ingris continent from the Vulgus, an alien race whose primary crime, besides attempted genocide, is having incredibly predictable weak points. It’s a high-octane 4-player co-op experience that lives at the intersection of "I feel like a god" and "I have been running this same mission for three days straight," all while your GPU tries its hardest to achieve fusion.

Technically speaking, the game is a beautiful resource hog that requires a 100GB SSD commitment and a PC hefty enough to be considered a structural hazard. It’s available across PC (Steam), PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox One/Series X|S, featuring full cross-play for you and your friends to argue over loot drops across platforms. By clicking "Play," you hereby acknowledge that your soul and any hope of a healthy sleep cycle is forfeit to the RNG gods, and that Nexon is not liable for any carpal tunnel sustained while spamming Bunny’s lightning abilities. Please consult your local hardware specialist if your PC begins to emit the sweet, smoky scent of a $700 mistake during a Void Intercept Battle.
