Mobile Legends: Bang Bang - Lesley "One-Hit Wonder" Build and Strategy Guide

By:

Lesley is both a Marksman and an Assassin, she specializes in dealing burst damage and reap. Burst is the ability to deal heavy damage in a short period of time while reap is the ability to surely kill a low HP enemy. This build is focused on making Lesley a fearsome marksman-assassin that can kill an enemy in one or two hits. To achieve that, this build capitalizes on giving Lesley high physical attack, physical penetration and critical damage. Included in this article are the best set of gears and emblem that are best suitable to make Lesley a One-Hit Wonder hero.

Lesley's Tale

Lesley grew up in the Vance household, where her father presided over the noble family's security. During an attack by a rival family, Lesley's father was killed. As the assailants approached the Vance household, Lesley took up her father's black long rifle and fulfilled her late father's mission. Tears rolled down Lesley's cheeks as she fired shot after shot, each one taking down an assassin. The final tear came as the final shot took down the last of the rival family's men.

Lesley was adopted by the Vance family, with the patriarch of the noble house even putting their sole heir, Harley under her tutelage. Harley, was a natural troublemaker, who used his talents in magic to cause trouble for the Vance household, only Lesley could keep Harley under control. Harley's troublemaker's streak was the last part of warmth within Lesley's conscience.

After hearing about how Harley had traveled to the dangerous Land of Dawn, Lesley follow along with her rusty heirloom rifle. After she found Harley through a long arduous journey, she found the once immature young boy had changed through numerous life experiences he had gone through. She decided it would be best to have her adopted little brother train here, while she silently protects him from the shadows. From that day on, all the monsters that were inflicted with Harley's magic would also be struck with a black bullet. Stories of the magical youngster that was followed by a mysterious black sniper soon spread.

Skills

Lesley possess one passive skill and three active skills. The following are the descriptions and analyses of each skills.
  • Passive - Lethal Shot: Hitting an enemy with a basic attack grants 5 Energy. If Lesley doesn't take damage for 5 seconds, her next basic attack has a longer range, 40% Crit Chance, and deals x1.3 damage. Using any skill will reset Lethal Shot's cooldown. Each foxed point of Physical Penetration Lesley obtains will be converted into 1% additional Crit Rate. (Physical Penetration percentage is not affected).
Analysis: Lethal Shot is the foundation behind this One-Hit Wonder build, Endless Battle's and Berserker's Fury's unique passives will make a deadly combination in terms of damage output. Be sure to keep watching Lethal Shot's cooldown, then when ready, use Master of Camouflage to unleash a deadly bullet.
  • Buff - Master of Camouflage: Lesley enters the Camouflage state for 3 seconds, increasing Movement Speed by 30% and physical attack by 50/80/110/140/170/200. Dealing or taking damage will cancel the state. Enemies can detect Lesley's camouflage through distortions in their surroundings. This skill requires 30 Energy to cast and has 5.0/4.4/3.8/3.2/2.6/2.0 cooldown.
Analysis: This skill is Lesley's bread and butter skill therefore, leveling this skill is your top priority. This One-Hit Wonder build also focuses on skill CD reduction to ensure that Master of Camouflage is almost always available to use. When Lethal Shot is available, make sure to use Master of Camouflage to unleash that deadly bullet.
  • Blink + Crowd Control - Tactical Grenade: Lesley throws a tactical grenade forwards, which explodes in a fan-shaped area in front of her. Deals damage and knocks enemies back, while Lesley also jumps back slightly. Using this skill will instantly cancel Ultimate Snipe and release its fatal bullets. Extra attacks will only be launched if fatal bullets have not finished firing. Tactical Grenade base damage is 150/180/210/240/270/300, has a 10.0/9.4/8.8/8.2/7.6/7.0 cooldown and requires 40 Energy to cast.
Analysis: Leveling this skill is not a priority, it is useful enough at level 1. Use this skill to escape and to keep your enemy from getting too close. Very useful in getting away from ambush.
  • Burst - Ultimate Snipe: Lesley abandons her sense and captures all enemy movement in an area using her mind. She locks onto an enemy hero and fires deadly bullets, dealing 200 + (+80% Extra Physical ATK) + 5% of the target's missing HP as Physical Damage. Each bullet that hits a target will restore 10 Energy. Bullets can be blocked by other enemy heroes.
Analysis: Ultimate Snipe deserves its name, it leaves escaping Lesley nearly impossible especially if she is wielding the Blade of Despair. Aside from using this to finish off dying enemies, you can also use this to detect enemies hiding in bushes. You can cancel Ultimate Snipe if your position is under threat by using Tactical Grenade of tapping the Ultimate Snipe's icon.
Emblem

Custom Marksman Emblem with Bravery, Doom and weapon Master talents is preferred for this build. This emblem gives additional physical attack and crit damage, which is perfect for achieving that One-Hit Wonder feat. You can also use Custom Assassin Emblem with Agility, Invasion and High and Dry talents. This emblem gives Lesley better movement, a good choice for a beginner Lesley user.

Battle Spell

This build expects Lesley to be a long range assassin, Lesley's defensive capability is below average which is to be expected from a marksman hero. To address this weakness, you must focus on acquiring all possible escape mechanism. Master of Camouflage and Tactical Grenade aside from the ability to deal damage, are both good escaping skills. I recommend to use Flicker to ensure that Lesley can escape all the time.
  • Flicker: Teleport a certain distance in a specified direction. For 1 second after the teleport, duration of disabling effects received will be reduced by 50%. Flicker has a 100 seconds Cooldown.
Gears

  • Endless Battle: Gives +65 Physical ATK, +25 Mana Regen, +250 HP, +10% CD Reduction, +5% Movement Speed, +15% Lifesteal and the Unique Passives: Divine Justice and Chase Fate. Divine Justice makes the wielder deal an additional 85% of Physical Attack as True Damage in a physical attack after using a skill.  Chase Fate increases the hero's Movement Speed by 15% everytime Divine Justice is triggered. Endless battle costs $2,470.
  • Magic Shoes: Gives +10% CD Reduction and +40 Movement Speed. Magic Shoes costs $710.
  • Berserker's Fury: Gives +65 Physical ATK, +25% Crit Chance, +40% Crit Damage and Unique Passive: Doom. Doom increases the hero's Physical Attack by 5% for two seconds upon landing Critical hits. Berserker's Fury costs $2,200.
  • Blade of Despair: Gives +170 Physical ATK, +5% Movement Speed and the Unique Passive: Despair. Despair makes the hero deal an extra 30% damage to an enemy hero for 2 seconds if the target hero's HP is below 50%. Blade of Despair costs $3,010.
  • Rose Gold Meteor: Gives +60 Physical ATK, +30 Magic RES, + 5% Lifesteal and the Unique Passive: Lifeline. Lifeline makes the hero gain a shield that can absorb 510-1,350 damage (increases with level) when HP is below 30%. Lifeline has a 30 seconds cooldown. Rose Gold Meteor costs $2,270.
  • Demon Hunter Sword: Gives +35 Physical ATK, +25% Attack Speed and Unique Passive: Devour. Devour makes the hero's basic attack deal +10% of the target's current HP as additional physical damage. Up to 60 against monsters. Demon Hunter Sword costs $2,180.
Analysis: Craft Endless Battle and Magic Shoes first, this will allow Lesley to deal decent damage and survive the lane in the early phase of the game. Next craft Berserker's Fury and Blade of Despair. These two items will give Lesley an insane offensive power when doing the Lethal Shot and Master of Camouflage combo. Next, craft Rose Gold Meteor to give Lesley additional survival capability. Finally, the Demon Hunter Sword to deal with tanky enemy heroes.
Skill Rotation

Lesley's skill rotation revolves between Lethal Shot and Master of Camouflage. Whenever Lethal Shot is ready use Master of Camouflage then do a basic attack. These combo is your main offensive arsenal, unlike other marksmen, you are to do a hit and run, not a stand your ground move. Use Ultimate Snipe to finish off dying enemies that are trying to escape and also to detect nearby enemies hiding in the bushes.

Role

Being a marksman and an assassin, you are expected to deal heavy damage to enemy heroes and destroy turrets. The best lane for Lesley is the middle lane, this will allow her to levelup fast by being solo and having access to both top and bottom jungle monsters. Finishing off retreating enemies is the number one role for Lesley, fail to fulfill this and you will earn the wrath of your allies.

Gameplay Tips

When you are fully geared, buy Energy Potion to boost your physical damage. This build requires you to do a hit and run maneuver unlike other marksman build that you can do a stand and fire move. Always kill the jungle monsters but leave the purple buffs to your mage and assassins. Always watch out for clashes and be sure to heed your allies' signals to attack or retreat. Finally do not forget that the best way to win is map awareness and teamwork.
