Ragnarok Online 2: Advent of Valkyrie - Master Soul Maker Level 40 PvE Build

This is a guide for Master Soul Maker PvE (Player Versus Environment). Master Soul Maker have the best healing skills in the game. A PvE Master Soul Maker's the primary investment is on HP, Defense and Vigor. Ideally 100k+ HP is a must for a Devotion type Master Soul Maker, but it's a bit difficult to achieve.

Stats

STR: Each point will increase Physical Attack by 2, Parry by 1 and Hit by 2.
AGI: Each point will increase Hit by 1, Critical by 1 and Dodge by 1.  
INT: Each point will increase Magical Attack by 2, Parry by 1 and Hit by 2.
WIS: Each point will increase SP by 15 and SP Recover potion effect rate by 0.10%.  
VIT: Each point will increase HP by 12 and HP Recover potion effect by 0.20%.

At Master Level 40, I highly recommend to put all +375 bonus stats to VIT.

Other Relevant Stats for PvE Master Soul Maker:
Vigor: Decreases Cooldown of all skills.
Parry: Decreases incoming damage by 50% when Parry succeeds.
Cast Speed: Decreases casting time for all skills.

Skills

The primary role of Master Soul Maker is to heal party members and make sure they do not die. Always use SouLink Devotion to the Main Tank of the party. Make sure that all the SoulLink skills and Cure are up at all times. However, make sure that you don't die, always watch you HP bar.

Dealing with Mobs: Death Spell > spam Mental Breakdown while running around the mobs. Repeat Death Spell when it expires then back to spamming Mental Breakdown.
* Use Sacrifice, Immunity and Awake Soulmate whenever available. * Spam pets as needed, AoE Stunner + DoT Damage pet is best in dealing with mobs.

Offensive Skills
  • Soul Extinction (1/10): Requires Soul Handle and 3 points of SP to cast. At a maximum range of 25 meters, concentrates the Soul magic and explodes it on the target. At level 1, inflicts damage equaling to 272% of your Magic Attack, and also inflicts additional 215 DoT damage for 10 seconds. This skill's cooldown depends on your characters Vigor. Casting Time is 2 seconds but can be reduced depending on your character's Cast Speed. Keep at level 1.
  • Mental Breakdown (10/10): Requires Soul Handle and 40 points of SP to cast. At a maximum range of 25 meters, divides the target's psych and inclicts damage equaling to 490% of your Magic Attack, and may cause Glass Mental debuff effect with 30% success rate. Target affected with Soul Injection can spread damage to up to 5 additional enemies. The damage is reduces by 5% each time it spreads to the next enemy. When Glass Mental is in effect, the next Soul Extension, Death Spell, Sacrifice or Immunity skill is instantly cast without casting time. Mental Breakdown is an instant cast skill and the cooldown depends on your character's Vigor. This skill is one of your your mobbing skill, max it.
  • Soul Extortion (1/10): Requires Soul Handle and 10 points of SP to cast. At a maximum range of 25 meters, erodes away the target's soul for 5 seconds and inflicts damage equaling to 218% of of your Magic Attack every 1 seconds. Then, your HP is restored in the amount of 35% of the damage inflicted every seconds. The target's Movement Speed is decreased by 50% while casting the skill. If the target is affected with Soul Injection, the damage is spread to up to 5 enemies. The damage is reduced by 5% each time it spreads to the next enemy. This is an instant cast skill and the cooldown depends on your character's Vigor. Not very useful for PvE build.
  • Death Spell (1/3): Requires 10 points of SP to cast. At a maximum range of 15 meters, inflicts damage equaling to 161% of your Magic Attack to the target and up to 10 hostile enemies within 5 meters from the target. Applies Soul Injection debuff on the target and damage affected enemies near the target. Death Spell's Casting Time depends on your character's Cast Speed and the cooldown depends on your character's Vigor. Only useful to inflict Soul Injection, keep at level 1.
  • Sacrifice (5/5): Requires Soul Handle and 177 points of SP to cast. At a maximum range of 25 meters, sacrifices 10% of your maximum HP and inflicts damage equaling 1,265% of your Magic Attack compounded by the amount of sacrificed HP on the target, and Knocks Down the enemy for 3 seconds. If the target is affected with Glass Mental, additional damage equaling to 30% of your Magic Attack is inflicted. Your characer may die when using this skill if your don't have enough HP consumed for Sacrifice. This skill's Casting Time depend's on your character's Casting Speed and the cooldown depend's on your character's Vigor. This is your main one on one offensive skill, combined with your high HP build, this skill definitely stings. Max this skill.
  • Immunity (3/3): Requires 151 points of SP to cast. At a maximum range of 25 meters, concentrates the Source of Dimension created as spirits to attack a target and inflicts damage equaling to 1,050% of your Magic Attack. Shock Wave from the exploding spirit discharges from the target upon impact and inflicts damage equaling to 420% of your Magic Attack to hostile enemies within 20 meters from the target, and restores HP of your allies within the range. Immunity's cooldown depends on your character's Vigor and Casting Time depends on your character's Cast Speed. Max this skill.
Support Skills
  • Exploitation (3/3): Absorbs the souls of the enemies within 5 meters from you and increases your INT for 30 seconds. You can absorb the souls of up to 5 enemies, and your INT is increased by 2% for very 1 soul. This is an instant cast skill and the cooldown depends on your character's Vigor.
  • Imposition Manus (5/5): A team-buff skill that applies Blessing and increases the Physical/Magic Attack of allies by 10% for 30 minutes. This is an instant cast skill and the cooldown depends on your character's Vigor.
  • Transpersonal (5/5): A team-buff skill that increases the effect of Critical Hit of allies by 10% for 30 minutes. This is an instant cast skill and the cooldown depends on your character's Vigor.
  • SoulLink Concentration (5/5): Requires a Soul Handle to cast. At a maximum range of 10 meters, increases the Accelaration and Vigor of yourself and of up to 5 allies in the area by 10% for 5 minutes. If your skill lands as Critical Hit while interaction with ally is in effect, the Acceleration and Vigor of yourself and the target allies are additionally increased by 1%, for up to 5 %. If Critical Hit does not occur, then the increased effect gradually decreases and the buff expires when it decreases to below minimum level. This skill's Casting Time depends on your character Cast Speed and the cooldown depends on your character's Vigor.
  • SoulLink Balance (5/5): Requires Soul Handle to cast. At a maximum range of 10 meters, interacts with the psych of 1 ally, and increases yours and the target ally's Physical and Magic Attack by 10% for 5 minutes. If your skill lands as Critical Hit while interaction with ally is in effect, the Physical and Magic Attack of yourself and the target ally is additionally increased by 1%, for up to 5%. If Critical Hit does not occur, then the increased effect gradually decreases and the buff expires when it decreases to below minimum level. This skill's cooldown depends on your character's Vigor and the Casting Time depends on your character's Cast Speed.
  • SoulLink Revive (5/5): Requires Soul Handle to cast. At a maximum range of 10 meters, the damage received by yourself and of up to 5 target allies within the selected area is reduced by 10%, and the amount of Heal received is increased by 10% for 5 minutes. If your skill lands as Critical Hit while interaction with ally is in effect, the damage received by yourself and the target allies is addionally reduced by 1% for up to 5%, and restores yours and target allies' HP by 5%. If Critical Hit does not occur, then the increased effect gradually decreases and the buff expires when it decreases to below minimum level. This skill's cooldown depends on your character's Vigor and the Casting Time depends on your character's Cast Speed.
  • SoulLink Devotion (5/5): Requires Soul Handle to cast. At the maximum range of 10 meters, interacts with the psych of 1 ally, redirects 30% of the damage received by the target ally to yourself for 5 minutes. Each time damage is redirected to yourself, the HP of yourself and the target ally is restored in the amount equaling 10% of the damage received. If the target ally receives damage in the amount that can cause death, the target ally is saved from death and 10% of the target ally's maximum HP is restored, and the buff expires. This skills Casting Time depends on your character's Cast Speed and the cooldown depends on your character's Vigor. Max this skill. 
  • Restore (1/5): Requires Soul Handle and 3 points of SP to cast. At a maximum range of 25 meters, restores target ally's HP in the amount equaling to 346% of your Magic Attack. If the target's HP is below 20%, this skill is cast instantly without casting time. Keep this skill at level 1. 
  • Restoration (1/10): Requires Soul Handle and 5 points of SP to cast. At the maximum range of 25 meters, spreads the healing on the party members within 10 meters from the targeted party member. HP in the amount equaling to 190% of your Magic Attack is restored on the target, and the effect spreads to up to 5 party members. The healing effect is reduced by 5% each time it spreads to the next member. This is an instant cast skill and the cooldown depends on your character's Vigor. This is just a support heal, keep at level 1.
  • Cure (10/10): Requires 32 points of SP to cast. At a maximum ranger of 25 meters, applies DoT healing on the amount equaling to 168% of your Magic Attack every 2 seconds for 30 seconds. The healing amount is increased by 3.50% every 5 seconds through the duration of the Cure. This skill can be compounded on the same target for up to 3 times. This is an instant cast skill. This is your main healing spell, max it. 
  • Dispell (1/3): Requires 8 SP to cast. At a maximum range of 20 meters, removes combat interfering debuff effect on the target with 10% success rate. This skill can be used even if you're in immobile state. This is an instant cast skill and the cooldown depends on your character's Vigor. 
  • Detection (1/3): Requires 12 SP to cast. Concentrates and seeks out invisible enemies within 10 meters. Cancels Invisibility effect on the enemies within the range, and may Stun the enemies for 3 seconds with 10% success rate. This is an instant cast skill and the cooldown depends on your character's Vigor. Not very useful in PvE, keep at level 1. 
  • Cure Pearl (1/5): Requires Soul Handle and 18 SP to cast. Generates 5 Heal Beads around your. When an ally approaches the Heal Bead, the ally absorbs it and HP in the amount equaling to 264% of your Magic Attack is restored. Ally that absorbs a Heal Bead cannot absorb another bead for 30 seconds. Each Pearl's duration is 30 seconds. This skill's Casting Time depends on your character's Cast Speed and cooldown depends on your character's Vigor. Keep at level 1. 
  • Awake Soulmate (3/3): Interacts with the subconscious Source of Dimension and forms it into a spirit. Increases your Attack and movement Speed by 30%, and your Acceleration by 15%. Every time your skill lands as Critical Hit, HP of all allies withint 10 meters is restored by 6%. This skill's Casting Time depends on your characters Cast Speed and cooldown depends on your character's Vigor.
Passive Skills
  • Soul Extinction Mastery (1/3): When Soul Extinction skill accurately lands on the target, the target is immobilized for 1 second.

Cards

Slot 1: +10 Captain Vadon Card
Slot 2: +10 Captain Vadon Card
Slot 3: +10 Captain Vadon Card
Slot 4: +10 Captain Vadon Card
Slot 5: +10 Captain Vadon Card

Overall these five cards will give your character 1,785 VIT! This is the best card combination that will give your character the largest amount of bonus VIT possible.

Gears

Weapon
  • +20 Serenia's Handle: I recommend to put 2 pieces Bind Rune of Intelligence +80 and 1 piece BlueSeed Rune[50] on the weapon rune holes. For the honing, the first line must be VIT and the second line must be Defense. The last three remaining lines must be VIT.  
  • +20 Serenia's Doll: I recommend the first line of hone must be VIT and the second line must be Defense. The last three remaining lines can be either Vigor or VIT. 
Armors 
Armor honing must be focused on defense. Like the weapon honing, the first line of hone must be VIT, the second hone must be Defense and the remaining three lines must be either Defense or VIT.
  • +20 Serenia's Cap: Unfortunately you can only put 1 rune in Serenia headgears. I recommend to put 1 piece Bind Rune of Intelligence +80.
  • +20 Serenia's Blouse: 1 piece Bind Rune of Intelligence +80 and 1 piece GreenSeed Rune [Armor 25] is recommended for the rune holes. 
  • +20 Serenia's Trouser: 1 piece Bind Rune of Intelligence +80 and 1 piece BlueSeed Rune[50] is recommended. 
  • +20 Serenie's Arm Cover: 1 piece Bind Rune of Intelligence +80 and 1 piece BlueSeed Rune[50] is recommended for the rune holes.
  • +20 Serenia's Foot Gear: 2 pieces Bind Rune of Intelligence +80 for the rune holes.
Accessories
  • Serenia's Necklace: VIT Seal of about 70+ and 1 piece Bind Rune of Intelligence +80 is recommended.
  • Serenia's Earing: VIT Seal of about 70+ and 1 piece Bind Rune of Intelligence +80 is recommended. 
  • Serenia's Ornaments: VIT Seal of about 70+ and 1 piece Bind Rune of Intelligence +80 is recommended. 
  • 2 Pieces Serenia's Ring: VIT Seal of about 70+ and 1 piece Bind Rune of Intelligence +80 is recommended for each rings.
Costumes
All costumes from head accessories down to shoes must have 3 slots each. Put Bind Rune of Intelligence +80 and +50 to available rune holes. To complete the rune holes you will need 15 pieces Bind Rune of Intelligence +80 and 9 pieces Bind Rune of Intelligence +50. Completing the set will give you a total 1,650 bonus INT.

Pets

Giant Driller: A 5 star pet pet comes with the skill AoE Stun.
Mermaid: A 3 star pet pet comes with the AoE debuff skill Electric Shock.
Gorem: A 3 star pet pet comes with the buff skill Damage Reduction and HP/SP Increase.
Imp: A 2 star pet pet comes with the debuff skill Ignition.

Titles

A Lawless World!: Gives 200 STR, 200 AGI, 200 INT, 100 WIS and 100 VIT.

Christmas Wreath: Gives 400 Attack Power, 400 Magic Power 500 Defense and 150 Vigor.
