So you decided to play PUBG Mobile and found out that it's brutal and fun. The game relies so much on the player's skill and each player have their own strategies and unique play style. However, one cannot deny that we all have things to learn from each other. Having played PUBG, I have collected some knowledge that will help you as a newcomer to get ahead of the game. This guide will give you tips and strategies that you may employ as a beginner, read it, apply it and from there develop your own. Remember, it's not just a game, it's a battle royale!
01. Main Objective
The main objective of the game is to be the last one to survive and win the game. It doesn't matter if you have lots of kill or just one kill. Keeping this in mind will help you avoid unnecessary actions that may expose you to greater dangers. Remaining hidden as much as possible is the best way to survive until the end. That is to say that you only have to kill if you really have no other choice because firing your firearm will potentially give away your location which may put you in a more dangerous situation.
02. Initial Landing Location
At the start of the game, all 100 players have equal opportunity to choose the best landing locations for themselves. This is the first crucial moment that you must not mess up, when choosing your landing location it is important to choose a spot where you think other players will less likely to choose. This is tricky because we cannot simply point this and that on the map and say this is the best landing location because the path of the cargo plane is always random. But, there are pointers that you need to keep in mind in order to choose an optimal location. First, avoid high density areas such as huge clumps of buildings. While they may contain good loots, the risk of encountering other players is high. Instead you can go to small clumps of buildings to gather your initial arsenal. Second, choose to land not on the roads but near the roads, preferably an area with trees and grass. Landing or walking on roads will provide you no cover, but traversing near roads while using trees and grasses as cover will give you good chances of coming upon a vehicle, which will be useful for travelling to the center of the safe zone as it gets gets smaller.
03. Weapons
Acquiring the best possible weapon is among the top priority in the game. Your arsenal must be comprised of a good sniping firearm and an assault firearm. While handguns or shotguns can do as initial arsenal, as the game progress you will find sniping to be much safer for you. Aside from a good sniper, you must carry a good assault weapon preferably a rifle or sub-machine gun. Weapon augmentations like scopes, suppressors or flash hiders is also a priority, look for them whenever you have the chance.
04. Map
The map is a useful feature that you should always use. Always check the map for safe zone shrinks and plotting your course. You can also check the map for directions of noises in order to avoid gunfight or engage in one. When playing squad or duo mode with your friends, you can coordinate your movements using markers.
05. Moving Around
Moving around the map is easy, but it is important that you know when you need to be stealthy or loud. At the start of the game, it is better to go the center of the safe zone as soon as possible, during this time you can safely use vehicles to your advantage. As the safe zone shrinks, you find it difficult to use vehicles anymore as they easily give away your location, so it is a prerogative to do this early. Having arrived at the center of the first safe zone early will make your movement easier as the map shrinks, and this time you can be as stealthy as possible. Keep low and hidden, as the safe zone shrink, find the best location to hide and stay there until the zone shrink again. When your location is given away, sometimes it is better to run to throw off the aim of your enemy. When you have been made, staying still will definitely get you killed, unless you are faster then your enemy.
06. Visual Cues
Always pay attention to the cues in the game, the markers on the map will help you and your friends coordinate your movements in duo or squad modes. The game will highlight items that are useful to you as you come across them. However, don't forget to loot items that you think might be useful to you especially scopes and flash hiders.
